I've been avoiding drawing as much as i could this semester because I haven't done it in so long and felt really out of touch with it. One of my professors pushed me to pick up some charcoal again and thank god I listened. Didn't realize how much I've actually missed drawing.

Still not done, admittedly. But it's close! So close!

My camera went missing a few days ago and has finally been recovered. In the midst of much rejoicing, I figured an update was due. Obviously this is a work in progress; I've been meaning to start keeping records of my process, but mostly I just really liked the under painting and wanted an image of it in case I end up accidentally killing it when I start adding color.

WIP

School has resumed and I am taking junior independent for six credits this semester. Basically, I am going to be living in my studio from now until December. I started this piece the other day and it is still very much in the rough stages, but I haven't posted anything in a while, so here you go. This photo is atrocious, I am so sorry. I left my tripod back in NY, I forgot to clean the lense, this is at a terrible angle in bad lighting, etc. Lament lament lament.

Anyway, I am hoping to keep better records of my work in a more timely manner. In theory this would mean more regular updates, but I'm sure you can sense a trend in these posts already.

End of semester dump

Didn't get around to painting today like I had hoped and decided to photograph some stuff from this past semester. Most of these are studies done for Nature Drawing, plus a page of minute gestures from either Figure and Ground or Life drawing from the semester before and a litho.

Well, so much for more consistent posting. I swear, I am still working though! Admittedly it took the better part of a month BUT! there is a painting in progress. Will get around to posting some images of that later. Maybe. I do have a bunch of drawings from the end of this past semester. Those will probably go up in the mean time.

Very good food, plus my glorious work in person. Also the work of some other people who aren't too shabby but really mine are the main highlight :) Oh god I hope people buy something, I really need to get more paint D:
